1. What Mutter Is

Mutter (“we,” “us,” or “our”) creates an AI companion based on your dog's personality. This is a creative, entertainment product. The conversations are AI-generated and do not represent real communication with your dog. Mutter is not a veterinary, behavioral, or professional service of any kind.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Mutter, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age, or have parental or guardian consent, to use Mutter. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. What You Agree To

• You will use Mutter for lawful, wholesome purposes only
• You will not attempt to manipulate the AI to produce harmful, violent, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate content
• You will not attempt to extract, scrape, or share other users' data
• You understand this is AI-generated content, not real dog communication
• You will not attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent the AI system or its safety measures
• You will not use the service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
• You will not impersonate any person or entity

5. What We Agree To

• To keep your data private and secure
• To maintain a safe, wholesome environment
• To never sell your personal data
• To allow you to delete your account and all associated data at any time
• To notify you of significant changes to these terms or our privacy policy

6. AI-Generated Content

Mutter uses artificial intelligence to generate responses in the voice of your dog. These responses are entirely fictional and for entertainment purposes only. They do not reflect your dog's actual thoughts, feelings, or behavior. Do not rely on Mutter's output for any real-world decisions, including but not limited to veterinary care, training, or behavioral concerns.

7. Memorial Mode

Mutter's Memorial Mode is a tribute and remembrance tool for dogs who have passed away. It is not a means of communicating with deceased pets. We designed it with care and deep respect for your grief. Please use it gently, and know that the love behind it is real even if the responses are AI-generated.

8. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at hello@hellomutter.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

9. User-Generated Content (Dog Park)

The Dog Park feature allows you to share posts with photos and AI-generated responses. By posting, you grant Mutter a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your content within the platform. You are solely responsible for any content you post and agree that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.

10. Beta Service

Mutter is currently in beta. The service is provided as-is, and features may change, be added, or be removed at any time. We appreciate your patience and feedback as we continue to improve.

11. Payments and Subscriptions

Beta access is currently free. When paid plans are introduced, pricing and billing terms will be clearly communicated in advance. You will always have the ability to cancel your subscription before being charged.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through your account settings.

13. Limitation of Liability

Mutter is provided for entertainment purposes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mutter and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including emotional decisions made based on AI-generated conversations.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time and will notify users by email. Continued use of Mutter after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
